| Job Description | AREA OF SPECIALTY: STATISTICS/ECONOMICS (1 Position) – V/No. AHB/INT/02/2025 a. Key Responsibilities The intern will work in the Planning and Strategy division. The key responsibilities will entail: - i. Assist in gathering and analyzing data to support the development and implementation of strategic plans; ii. Conduct economic and statistical research to identify trends and challenges in the affordable housing sector; iii. Collect and analyze housing market data, including demand and supply trends; iv. Support the evaluation of economic factors affecting housing affordability and financing; v. Assist in mapping potential strategic partners based on economic and statistical indicators; vi. Provide data insights to support negotiations and engagement with government agencies, private sector players, and international organizations; vii. Assist in developing research reports that inform policy and best practices; viii. Use statistical tools to analyze housing sector performance and recommend improvements; ix. Support innovation efforts by analyzing data on emerging technologies and housing solutions. x. Collect and analyze data to track the impact and effectiveness of the Board’s programs xi. Develop and maintain reports, and presentations on M&E findings. |

Bachelor of Science/Arts in Statistics, Economics, Applied Economics, Data Science, or a related field from a recognized institution; ii. Additional coursework or specialization in Development Economics, Housing Economics, Policy Analysis, or Data Analytics.
b. Skills and Competences i. Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata, Python, or SAS); ii. Strong knowledge of economic modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis; iii. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Excel); iv. Understanding of market research, impact evaluation, and cost-benefit analysis; v.
